Strange because I dont have any broblem with gear housing on my 1.5 bottlerocket bike, and I'm gonna buy myself a whip cap too. There is enough lenght for 1 barspin so I'll try it out. Still I think it's a good idea. What housing do you use Ive got a shimano sp51 and it works good no mater how much barspins there are.

why do you need to use single speed if you can install a longer housing on gear cable?
